Skin Peels

Facial Skin Peels

If you are looking to achieve a radiant, more youthful appearance then a facial skin peel may be the perfect solution for you.

Facial Skin Peels can improve skin tone and texture, hydrate and give you a radiance boost to achieve youthful, glowing skin. Skin peels are also beneficial to tackle the signs of ageing and also to improve acne and prevent future breakouts.

At the Beresford Clinic, our facial skin peels will give you a deep exfoliation essentially removing the top layer of your skin, revealing a brighter and fresher complexion. These peels can reduce, and in some instances, eliminate fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth.

If you have areas of pigmentation or acne scarring, facial skin peels can also be beneficial to current uneven skin tone and scarring. These peels can also help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by sun damage.

  • Skin peels can help with:
  • Improve skin tone
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Acne scarring
  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Open pores
  • Brighten complexion

Did you know?

Regular skin peels can make your skincare products work better? With the top layer of dead skin cells removed all those lovely ingredients within your skincare products will be able to penetrate deeper into your skin’s layers and work that little bit harder for you.

Another benefit of regular skin peels is that when you shed that top layer of skin, signals are sent that make the living cells multiply and move up towards the skin’s surface which helps increase collagen production.

What type of peel will I need?

Peels can be done at different depths: light, medium or deep, depending upon the issues and desired results. Each type of peel uses a different chemical solution. Deeper chemical peels produce more-dramatic results, but also involve longer recovery times.

What is the procedure?

Chemical peels can be performed on the face, hands and all other body parts. Age and liver spots (Lentigines) usually categorised by flat, brown areas with round edges usually found on the face, hands, back and feet. They are age-related and photoageing related and have nothing to do with the liver. While they are unsightly, they are not usually dangerous. Solar keratosis and hyperpigmented areas due to hormonal changes and photodamage.

How many peels will I need to achieve results?

Most people will see an improvement after their first treatment, however, more than one treatment is recommended to achieve optimum results and the amount of treatments needed will be bespoke to each individual clients needs dependent upon the desired solution. As you continue with the treatment, there is no limit to the number of peels you can have as long as improvement continues.
