Facial skin peels are a deep exfoliation procedure, removing the top layer of skin to reveal fresher, brighter complexion.

A chemical peel can reduce or eliminate fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth, correct uneven skin pigmentation, dry out active acne and soften the appearance of scars caused byacne. The procedure can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by sun damage as well as skin blemishes common with age and heredity.

Chemical peels can be performed on the face, hands and all other body parts. Age and liver spots (Lentigines) usually categorized by flat, brown areas with round edges usually found on the face, hands, back and feet. They are age related and photoageing related and have nothing to do with the liver. While they are unsightly, they are not usually dangerous. Solar keratosis and hyperpigmented areas due to hormonal changes and photo damage. While a single peel will deliver a noticeable benefit, a course is recommended for optimum results.

Because the solution is a combination of mild acids, some tingling usually occurs upon application, your face may appear slightly redder than usual but will subside after a short time.

Your skin may appear dry after treatments therefore it is recommended to use a non-drying cleanser and also a good moisturizer lotion like Theraderm skin products. You may continue to wear make up following the mild peeling treatments.

As you continue with the mild peel treatments, they will be on a weekly basis and the number of treatments required for any given problem varies with each individual person, and is determined by the therapist. There is no limit on the number of peels a person can receive as long as improvement continues.
