We would like to welcome our new resident acupuncture specialist, Fiona Hedworth to the clinic.
Fiona has been practising the ancient art of acupuncture for 35 years. Previously from Lincolnshire, Fiona and her family have recently moved to Devon and joined the team at The Beresford Clinic to share her expertise and knowledge of using acupuncture to treat many health issues such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, migraines and more.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical technique used for centuries to relieve pain treat disease and improve general health and wellbeing. The technique uses small needles which are inserted into the skin at precise nerve points to influence tissues, glands and organs functions and balance your energy.
Fiona is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and originally trained in Japanese five-element acupuncture at Leamington spa but since then, I have studied Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in London and Reading. More recently, I studied Kiko Masumoto’s method of acupuncture and Master Tung’s Korean style of acupuncture.
“I love to treat men, women and children of all ages and a wide variety of health problems, both physical and emotional. The most common problems patients come with are stress, sciatica and arthritis, back pain, digestive problems, fertility, MS and more recently Long Covid. I enjoy treating complex conditions and patients with a mixed bag of symptoms, but acupuncture is also a very good preventative treatment, so it makes a good MOT!”
If you’re interested in trying acupuncture, why not come to our open day on Monday 12th April where you can book a free slot between 10am and 12pm to have a chat with Fiona about the benefits of this ancient Chinese treatment and see what it can do for your health and wellbeing.
